ROAR V COASTIES Mulvey Era Game Uno

STARRING THE DEBUT OF 

SO, game one of the Mulvey era Done and Dusted

The  game was pretty good , showed a lot of promise and was 1000 % massive improvement from last year. Sure Brisbane bollocksed a 1,000 chances but our back 4 stopped tons too.

I think the problem tonight was the most of the mids. 

They made the boys at the back work way too hard and they did bonz  considering how hung out to dry they were....Cisse and Golec were both good but bad at the same time. Cisse beyond dodgy early but got way better

Simply Mick Mc is not a overly talented defender. Dutch Tommy  is but Wee Mac aint , I think its fair to suggest that Micky and  O'Neil will be swapping on a more permanent basis when AO gets  match fit , I think then we will be OKEE DOKEE .

Captain Matty won nearly every headers he went for BUT kept giving the ball to the Roar..that needs fixing , I dont think him and McCormack were on the same wavelength

How good was Dutch Tommy (and im not even being byast)...the Brissy Tommy was hot and cold....

as the game went on young Kye grew to ten feet, without him on the right side we would blown that game....How good was Clisby, his gonna end up on the back of a lot of kids shirts methinks

Painy apart from his goal really didnt get into it that much (or im mad , one or the other)

as for Brisbane ..Taggart must be thinking his lost his mojo...and Aloi$i is a babbling numbnut

Hell even Kennedy was better than half decent


As for the ref, well we all know Beath is a numbnut dipstick, has been for seasons ...and his mate the VAR can ping off as well

Kennedy 8. MOM

Rowles 7. A proper defender. Needs to polish his marking and positioning.....but can make that spot his own on that performance.

Clisby 7. Good tough game.

Golec. 6.5. Still gets lost at times but a real defender and saved us countless times.

Cisse 6. Not sure why Harper was fapping over him like he used to over Caceras. His "goal" was beautiful but suspect early on and needs to tighten his defending. 

Weemac 5.5. Worked hard.

Pain 6. Great finish but needs to be busier.

Tommy 6.5. Superb assist and some lovely moments. Worked hard but id like to see him drive forward with the ball sometimes.

Oar 6. Was aggressive and tried hard but not at his best.

Ross. 6 Needs to be hungrier but his quality is obvious.

Simon 6.5. Good captains knock.

O"Neill needs to start.

Yep, quite a few positives as opposed to Okonball....it  only gets better from here

I thinks its fair to suggest that A NEW MARINERS ERA IS UPON US ...and the new shirt has raised some ire already

Yeah yeah, I know I said that Walmsley and Okon killed off me blogaroo...BUT...after seeing the signings this year and watching the boys have a run or two , I think its fair to say that, Im back for another run, and not only  am i happy that "The Owner"  found the keys to his wallet , but I'm also optimistic that, if nothing else we may just make the semi's for the first time in a loooong time.

Usain Bolt....cudos to the man for following his dream, he absolutely ruled the 100 meters for ages , and now he has the notion that he wants to play footy, cool, sure the naysayers and nufties have bagged him , "his to old' 'he dont have the mindset' etc etc...

well, that may well be , but his could have gone anywhere in the world to try and get into the beautiful game BUT for some inexplicable reason he chose 'The Little Club that Can" and with him came more positive press that the Coast has seen since Arnie and his boys won the dunny seat back when.

Yes, he hasnt played since he was a little kid and yes its a whole other skill set BUT he has that instinct to give everything 100% concentration (which is more than some Mariners did last year) and besides Mario Gotze from one of my favourite teams Borussia Dortmund reckons he has a good shot eventually...

sure in the Bolt-A-Mania festival of Football at Bluetongue , he got 20 mins and while not setting the world on fire , he didnt make a total arse of himself..

so im prepared to let him train his posterior off for as long as he wants, and like I said his a sponsor and positive vibe magnet ...so sweet as.

10 of those have 'left' or in current terminology, they been Malveyed....and im still thinking that Hoole and Ginga are on the chopping block BUT I could be wrong...lets see , shall we

lotsa CCM fans saw them start to arrive and started crying FOUL without a ball being kicked , Peter Kekeris from our Yoof, coupla guys from the NPL (Muzza, Josh McDonald, Matty Millar) Mario Shabow from the scummers , Jack Clisby and Aspro from the Drive bys ....people were screaming ahh crap ....and yeah, i might of whined a bit too...until I saw them at Pluim having  a run (Mind Changed)

Add in Corey Gamiero from the Roar, Kalifa Cisse frm BEC Toro Sana , Aidan O'Neill on loan( who shone like a diamond at Pluim) from Burnley , Wee Mac and Matty Simon coming home and as of this morning Tommy Oar and Ross McCormack joining in the festivities, if we dont scare some squads this year , i'll be a monkeys relative

We already scored 21 goals in pre season , hell we only scored 32 all of last season , if the lads can keep that average like it is at the second, we may very well do pretty darn well.

So to end ..

Well,there wasnt no way i would of picked us to put 4 past the kiwis after the game v Adelaide BUT once the gaffer got the "oh shit were good we beat Sydney" crap out of their heads they turn around and demoralise the Funex

I was thinking wed win but not getting four ... ...well, 3 but to the K1w1 with the big melon, all i can say is 'Chairs bro, grab yourself a tinnie out the chilly bin " imagine what would of happened if we Astroboy to harass the Nux defence....

happy that Budgie got a goal, maybe his finally got rid of the crap that was rumoured to be filling his head ... 

At times they completely outplayed the Nix, and they were thoroughly professional throughout. 

They showed the Phoenix how to pass out from the back and reminded them how to finish.

And as usual with the FFA's newest toy the VRA, theRe were some odd lapses in time and judgement, sooner they flick it the better

Well Fark moi , how longs it been since back to back wins ❓, don’t matter, as long as it happened, first half was , stat wise, excellent for us, now, methinks if Powelly and Astro boy were teamed together up front instead of kwabi charging around with a ton of desire but no goal magnet, we would of had a at least one going into the break

How good has Ginga become❓Him and Hooley have linked together quite nicely, Stormy has got a job getting his spot back , and as for Kye, if his leg ain’t too damaged, he should hold his spot over Rose the Elder.....

back to the game, the second half we backed off a tad until Powelly came on , and we all saw what happened after that.....quick VAR ( Very Awful Rubbish) question, do you think that the twats looking at the screens are controlling the game, cause, Fark moi , some decisions take an age or they don’t occur at all...either way KGJ hasnt chaged one iota, his still a pedantic phukker.....

Kenny Lowe was going Birko , didn’t help him any, and Mitch Nichols is twice the man he used to be, what’s happened to him , Fark moi

Once again we were the better football team and it would have been a travesty if the Glory pinched an equalizer at the end. 

Nevertheless, it's a long time since we've been so high on the ladder.

Manchester City South next week, and since they didn’t deserve to win, we may very well scare the bejeesus out of them
