AND...Arnies outta here

WELL...after a tricky start to the season...it has come to the attention of the Yellow Army and Aussie football in general that Graham Arnold is offski....It seems to the media that after having been passed over for the Socceroos job for Ange Postecoglou, Arnold has finally turned his attentions to the overseas role he has long coveted.

The new contract he signed in May last year, to remain at the Mariners for another two seasons, contained a clause allowing him to accept a substantial job overseas....and it looks like he has activated said clause

Its been rough since the lifting of the toilet seat..we've lost Zwanje, Matty Ryan, Ollie Boz and Bernie, then Marvin and now Arnie. How much can a little club bear?....Suffice it to say,  a golden era has come to an end; thank you Arnie for everything that you have done for our club. We are the Champions

BUT.....

I think Mossy has earned a try and to be fair , I'm kind of extatic to see that we have a succession plan for this as well, considering how these sorts of things are usually followed by the usual suspects being bandied around.. I can't think of many things worse than Miron or GVE coming to the club. ...I have no idea what he'll be like as a coach, but from listening to him in interviews, reading his comments and watching him, I have no reason to believe that he won't perform... Besides, he's about as close as we get to having a "home-grown" coach at this point I reckon... That's kind of cool too... ;)

To me, it shows that thought is indeed being put into the process with CCM and that, in an off itself, makes the club probably the most realist and professionally minded club in the league.

and finally and lastly to Arnie...Im my humble opinion, you have nothing left to prove or achieve, and I...and all Mariners fans (I hope),  wish you well in the next phase of your coaching career....GOOD LUCK CHAMPION
