Dutchy Van Egghead was probably cackling away like a jibberer after watching the Gosford version of the Derby on Saturday night...
To suggest that that was probably the best first half of football we've played this year, is fairly spot on.....its been a while since we potted 3 in one half of footy...lets hope that this was the catalyst for it to continue.
NOW...to the scummers..both fans and the team...firstly the Squadrunts..WHAT THE HELL was that ridiculous banner, and I quote, "Newcastle wont die, BUT you will"...keep ya inconsiderate fkn crap at that toxic waste dump hometown of yours ya friggin wannabe's...
and the team...I had to wonder if someone had buried magnets over the touchline and slipped a steel bar in the ball...bloody Zadcovich(or however you spell it) and his cronies kept booting the bloody thing over the sideline for no apparent reason...not complaining mind...Coach Clayton musta been scrathing his noggin though.
NOW...how about them three first half goals Macca, Matty, Matty, Matty Simon and the single most sublime strike from A.C his probably ever done, or needed to do....
I watched the Roar game on Friday night and thought the first goal from that Brisbane kid was pretty close to goal of the year BUT then came Caccresadinho and blew it outta contention...AND..he took the ball from halfway, and the kid beat two Jets defenders before unleashing a 25-yard right-foot strike out of the top shelf to give the home side the lead.......WOW..just WOW.
And the most entertaining piece of news from the derby, from our perspective anyway is that The Jests haven't won in a league fixture in Gosford since 12 January, 2008 losing six matches and drawing three in that period...so....ROFL at that one.
AND despite the piece of furniture (Hutcho) being available again after serving yet another suspension from a constant succesion of brain snaps,( hardly the way a captain behaves, in my humble) he only made a substitute run because Mossy let The General be the Captain AGAIN...
Mind you when Hutcho did come on , he did what Hutcho always does and fired up his lack of imagination and passed the ball backwards straight away...and it appeared that out shape went to shit, dunno if Hutcho caused that though...
but the Jests got a bit more ball, fortunately, they didnt have any idea what to do with it...WAIT...EPL "legend" Emil Heskey had a thought...he thought he would try and kick the ball onto platform 2 at Gosford Station...AND he bloody near succeded...Quite possibly the miss of the year...a much better miss than anything Macca has managed this year.
OH YEAH..Cudo's to Bay 16, The Yellow Army...got the joint rocking AND outsung a numerically superior mob of bogans down the other end....and to the Mariner family in general, for having a rocking good time ...OUTSTANDING
Ok I've watched it on the box and the only thing I noticed was Sterj had a better game than I thought.
He looks like a passenger at times due to his lack of movement but he still has a touch of quality about him.
Reddy 7. Another clean sheet if somewhat lucky that The Bogan Scum are so poor.
Storm 7. Pretty good.
Ando 6. A bit sloppy at times.
Tesco 6.5. Looked more like a Falcon than a BMW last night.
Rose 7. Good game...worked hard.
Fitz. 7. Looks at home in the first 11 and getting better each game. Him on one side and Ibini on the other will be a handful.
Monty 7. Must be the starting capt from now on.
Caceras. 7. Brilliant goal and starting to look the part.
Macca 7. Brilliant goal and looked interested. Good game.
Sterj. 6.5. Decent game
Simon 8. Top game. MOM.
So..there you go, an truly outstanding effort by (most of) the boys..can we keep going and give the Roar at Suncorp next week...I think we can
