IT'S A MARINATED WORLD: Rnd18: Super Suck Saturday

Superhero Saturday huh...apart from the first 15 minutes it was Super Suck Saturday...Us in Bay 17 and the pitiful crowd that showed up...5.30 pm on a Saturday, we should be drawing 12k +...but thats for another blog....

One nice thing that did happen was we got to say g'day to Mr Kim outside the ground in Dane Dr (along with Mi Amigo and the Mighty Kwas)

NOW...Last time we played the Mexicans at Fortress Mariner there were two shit teams on the paddock. This time there was only one, and it werent Muskies boys....That had to be in the Mariners top 5 worst performances EVER. the boys looked clueless for the second 45 and as much as I say that a team shouldnt be based around one player....

missing Monty killed us....I appreciate everything that John has done for the club BUT I dont care if Hutcho does bleed blue and Yellow, having him on the park is killing our ability to play forward with any sort of speed. The team can cover this early in the game with players working hard but as the game goes on, and the players tire it is a massive problem. The midfield combination has to be Monty and Caceras....ADMIT IT HUTCH FANS...HIS PAST IT

I know we've had plenty of players come and go since the Grand Final, but surely we've had enough stick around all season to be able to string together some sort of cohesive play that doesn't result in constant turnovers and leaky defence?...Last night the the boys were barely making one pass before losing it to the Victory...DIABOLICAL

NOW...the new guys..."Fast " Eddie Bosnar, I saw him on Thursday FC and have watched him on youtube recently..BUT...his a big unit aint he..and the theory that he has a helluva foot on him aint a theory...FINALLY, we have a free kick taker at Jedi levels...although i did take note that almost everytime Reddy or Anderson had the ball it was fired to Eddie...it was like..you played in England DO SOMETHING...dont think Fast Eddie deserved to get subbed, that should of been Zacs swap over, and yeh I tweeted Anderson and told him he was the drizzlings, mind you at the rate his going he could end up the next captain of the club...ANYWAY...The defensive line should be doing a shitload of laps for punishment this week, each goal was simply a player who was completely unmarked. piss weak indeed....

When Mossy FINALLY got around to trying to save our bacon, he got Cernak to come on for Sterjovski and later Duke for Ibini...Cernak brought energy but Duke barely got a touch. The Mariners were like headless chooks except they were barely running around....and let me stick up for Marcel Seip for a sec, lotta people griping about him, i say this, he doesnt get enough regular 1st team...here's a thought, flick friggin Anderson and sit Marc next to Bosnar and watch him improve...the similarities in the styles they have played in will make a marked difference ...I'd put money on it

You wished for a McGlinchey to take hold of the game, or some blinding skill from a Flores or, especially, a Tommy Rogic to knit it all together. But those ships has sailed......The one good point of the game is that Eddie looks immense and along with Monty he is going to lead on the field.

NOW to that drooling imbecile in the red shirt with the whistle...he clearly has received the email from HQ at the beginning of the season to ignore 87% of incidents that result in dot shots...he had to be kidding RIGHT?....

We all know that A-League refereeing is woeful, and gutless and the linesmen are even worse!..BUT...no one in Bay 17 (or the ground for that matter) could believe that penalty wasn't given, atrocious decision. I noticed the assistant ref actually signalled that it was outside the penalty area...it looked like the liney was just doing the whole 'agree with the ref even if he's wrong' thing

The final whistle was like the ref stopping the fight because we weren't able to throw a punch anymore.

We sucked balls big time.!

First 20 mins was great. We completely dominated them and looked like we would win 3 or 4 nil.

For some stupid reason we decided that 1.0 was enough and we could close out the game......what a massive mistake.suddenly a pathetic victory side was not longer harried into mistakes and was allowed to work there way back into the game.....The penalty howler was a disgrace from a clearly retarded referee and his simpleton linesman (western side) but to concede that goal in extra time was pathetic and who the f**k is our defensive coach?
The keeper does well to knock the ball onto the bar and our defenders simply stand watching...not good enough in under 9s.

And I'm happy to give Rogic some stick....What the f**k did he do for us?
He is a skilful but flawed player....you can excuse the flaws when he plays for us but now he is a Victory dog....he can do one....Hugely overrated for my money.

The worst moment of the game was in the second half when I think it was fitzy got the ball on the right hand flank and squared the ball back into the box.....we didn't have a single f**king player in the 18yard box to challenge for the ball.....not one single player!!!
I have been playing since I was 7 years old and watching the game since I was 5yo and have NEVER ever seen that before.
We missed Monty massively and if he had played instead on Hutcho I'm sure we would have won, having said that the team were pathetic overall with no shining lights.

Reddy 6. Conceded 3 and beaten at the near post but the back for was shite so I feel sorry for him.
Roux 6. Clearly shows quality but still is a very rough diamond defensively.
Ando 5. Really poor. I think Siep is a better option.
Bosnar 7. I think he was a fault on the 3rd goal but looks very promising.
Rose 6. Also at fault on the third goal but at least has a dig. Average but the back four were collectively shite.
Fitz 6. Worst game since he was originally dropped.
Hutcho 5. Terrible.
Carceras 6. Can't tackle.
Beanie 6..5 . Good goal and played well in patches but needs to dominate more.
Simon 6. Lead the f**king line son. Enjoyed seeing Leijer getting a kick in the chops.
Sterj. 5. Rubbish. Passing poor and back to being a passenger.

Impossible to do a 3-2-1 as everyone was pathetic. With possible exception of Bosnar
