Quite possibly the WORST game of the season so far. Not much in the way of a midfield and thus, no service up front. Said it before, Heff looks slow in both speed and decision making. Too much space between and behind the back four. We only woke up once they scored and Sim came on but even though we had chances in the last 10 min we didnt deserve anything. Not going to watch the replay.
The problem with us is that we want to play champagne football, but we just dont have the blokes to do it. Apart from Monty and Fab, who else is there with genuine class to give us that edge that someone like Castelen gave WSW?.....I'm definitely a Warmsely supporter, he's doing the best he can with the cattle he's got. The problem is, neither he or Charlseworth seem to be pragmatic.
We need to open the purse strings... spend money to make money. A decent CB would be nice, but lets get another Perez.
It wasn't mossball - but it missed some composure, decent structure,a dash of mongrel and certainly the "entertainment" we have been getting even in defeat. ....Maybe credit has to go to Wanderers also - because it's hard to believe we have played that well with ten against SFC and Scum yet were so outplayed today.
As to our midfield... Fitz started well but faded, We badly missed Austin as an outlet. (we already knew we missed Fab) Sim had purpose and belief when he came on. Which was a stark contrast to Caceres. ...
Speaking of which, Im well and truly over the bloke yes, he made a nice run, beat a player or two then lost the ball (WOW shocking, that hardly ever happens).....
When the ball was upfield AC was a spectator (stunned again), Pretty awful display, squandered possession more than usual as well. Fox commentary said someone in Europe was interested in Cac come January, methinks his noggin is already somewhere else? Had all the hall marks. I'm over him and his great feet. SEEYA
Cheers to Castelen for being unable to shoot or we would have lost 4 .0.
The defence worked hard and McGing was outstanding but I still don't understand why they all wander away from the player they are marking when the wanderers have the ball.?
Easily our worst game if the season. Toothless and flat.

How could you leave Nichols unmarked in the box 8 yards out. Again its under 10 stuff.
I haven't seen a replay so ill do the best i can from what i saw from BAY17.
Izzo 7.5. Swept really well.
Roux 6.5. Seamed more switched on.
McGing 7.5. Impressive.
Posco 6.5. Worked hard but passing not as good as normal and needs to tighten up.
Neill 4. Saved by the post. Needs to spend the whole season in Yoof learning how to play fullback. Rose is far better LB.
Rose 6. Much prefer him at LB. Did ok but can't cross a ball.
Monty 6.5. Not bad.
Caceras 5.5. Needs a testosterone injection before the game.
Fitz 5. Poor.
Heff 6. Didn't impress but nearly got a rebound. Did well to hustle the defender down by corner flag.
Roy 7. Nearly got a wonder rebound after closing down the keeper brilliantly.
Subs.
Sim 8. My God he was excellent. Needs to start at Left Mid whenever Austin is out and needs to come on final 20 mins when Austin starts. MOM.
Bing and Rose looked ok. Bing has good potential.
now to the weekends protests.....there were fan walkouts all over this round of footy due to the byast, disgusting, reporting by an avowed soccer hater (and drunk driver),who belongs in jail more than most of the fans do, and some feeble old man struggling to stay relevant with a flare for the outrageous statement ....NOW, its fine to punt the wannabe hoon element from our crowds, we don't need them and don't want them, and some of the Bloc have been absolutely disgusting in their behaviour towards other fans (assault's spitting etc),..BUT some of the fans "outed" by Jones and Wilson are just young kids and one of RBB member has even lost his job, his crime, as i understand it, was standing on a seat at a WSW game...hardly a felony....the FFA have no right to appeal policy which is what a a portion of the fan revolt is about , the other bit is how those journalistic maggots got the list of banned fans ....suffice it to say, it wasnt by asking politely as i understand it....there needs to be something done, with the security and police at HAL games they behave like their dealing with the infamous crews of English football
( I think if the Chelsea headhunters and West Hams Inner City Firm showed up via a time machine, the ground security would panic and bolt}
There needs to be some further discussion Mr Gallop, your HAL wont survive without the fans...you need to start treating 99% them less like maniacs and more like people.
So...City on Thursday, I dare say we may get zonked again, I hope not, but if we play like that for another 90....time to spend come coin Charlesworth, the indians are getting slightly restless
